What is a Live Wedding Painting?

A live wedding painting is where an artist creates a painting on-site, capturing a meaningful moment, such as the ceremony, first dance, or reception. As the day unfolds, guests can watch the artwork come to life, and the finished piece becomes a one-of-a-kind keepsake that preserves the emotion and beauty of the newlyweds special day.

The Process

I will arrive a few hours early before the wedding to begin the artistic process. Throughout the day, I will paint during setup, the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, capturing the bride & groom's chosen moment. At the end of the evening, the newlyweds will have the opportunity to view the painting's progress before it is taken back to my studio. There, I will make further refinements and add additional details to complete the painting.

Additional Info

- A 50% deposit is required upon signing the contract to reserve your date on my event calendar. The remaining 50% balance is due two weeks before your wedding day.
Payment plans are also an option!

- While I am located in Oklahoma City,
I am available to travel nationwide/internationally.

FAQs

How long do your wedding paintings take?

Depending on your package chosen, I will spend 6-8 hours the day of your wedding working on your piece. Once it is taken back to my Studio, I work on it until it is complete. This can range anywhere from 20-80 additional hours.

Can we choose which moment is captured?

Of course! During the contract process we will discuss the pose you want captured in your painting. Some popular options are the first kiss, holding hands, a dip, or walking down the aisle.

What sizes do you offer?

I offer a range of sizes, my packages are 16x20", 18x24", or 22x28"
If you are wanting to go even larger or smaller based on your budget, we can discuss a customized size during the booking process.

How early should I book your services?

I recommend booking as early as possible to ensure my availability, especially during peak wedding season. Ideally, booking six months to a year in advance is best.

Do you offer framing?

Yes! My paintings are created on 1.5" gallery wrapped canvases with painted edges, so they can be hung without need of a frame. However, I offer custom framing services if you would like a more professional look. These can be floating frames or regular frames flush to your canvas.

What are your travel fees like?

Any venue within 25 miles of my studio location in Oklahoma City does not require a fee. Beyond that travel fees are based on mileage, time, and general vehicle wear/tear.
If your wedding requires me to travel via plane, the travel fee would include flight, airline, and lodging accommodations modations.

Do you paint at other events besides weddings?

Absolutely! Whether it's a corporate event, baby shower, graduation party, or any other celebration, I can provide a live painting experience to you and your guests.

How do I secure my wedding date on your calendar?

To secure your date, I require a 50% deposit upfront and contract signature, with the remaining balance two weeks before your wedding. To inquire for availability, fill out the form above.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! After the 50% deposit is paid, we can discuss a payment plan for the remainder that works best for you, allowing you to spread the cost over the months leading up to your wedding.

If you are unavailable on my date, or our wedding has already passed, can you paint from a photograph?

Of course! If I am unavailable on your wedding day, I can create a beautiful painting from your favorite photograph. It is a perfect alternative that still provides a gorgeous keepsake to be enjoyed for generations.
