Here I Abide Oil Painting

This original oil piece was created using the technique of plein air, a French style of painting meaning "in the open air". Essentially, it is a piece made from start to finish outdoors in the elements, using something from life as your reference, rather than a photograph. 

Featuring a solitary tree planted in the countryside, this painting draws inspiration from John 15:5, which states, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing". 

To abide is not something we do passively; it is an intentional choice we make, anchoring ourselves to the ultimate source of life, Christ Himself. Our strength is not found in separation, but in communion with God, in being held, sustained, and nourished by the roots and vines of Christ, allowing us to flourish, grow, and bear fruit for His Kingdom.

This painting comes complete in a warm wood frame, with a wire hanger on the back for easy installation.
