Victor Emmanuell II Monument in Rome, Italy Watercolor Painting
Victor Emmanuell II Monument in Rome, Italy Watercolor Painting
Inspired by my trip to Rome and Athens, this original watercolor architectural painting features the monument of Victor Emmanuel II.
Built between 1885-1935, this monument honors Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of a unified Italy. There is something special about being able to capture history within an art piece.
The background of the monument showcases a bright blue sky with soft clouds. The foreground includes lush green trees, framing the monument nicely and adding contrast to its warm beige tones. Overall giving the piece a romantic quality to it.
This original piece comes matted behind glass in the pictured ornate gold frame, complete with wire hangings on the back for easy installation.
